About Me

 

Hello, my name is Adam Kaiserman and I’m a Professor of English here at COC! I’ve taught here since spring 2013, and I’ve been teaching since 2005. At COC, I’ve been chair of both the English and Humanities Departments and I enjoy teaching classes in composition, literature, and humanities. Before coming to College of the Canyons, I received by Ph.D. from UC Irvine in English. After grad school, I worked for the UCSB Center for Black Studies where I was managing editor of their journals Kalfou and the Journal of Haitian Studies as well as other publications.

Teaching multicultural literature is very important to me, and I am a member of the Society for Multiethnic Literatues of the United States (MELUS) and have published in the society's journal MELUS.
